Issa birthday tea partttay!!!!!

So, I am officially 28 years old and I am not going to lie, I was not looking forward to it. I don't know why. Mind you, it could have been the PMS from the crimson wave (if you know...you know) I was surfing last week and/or the foolishness from work in general. Either way I was not feeling it. I had to really think about the blessings I have had in my 28 year lifespan. Additionally, I had to accept the fact I am getting older and be grateful for everything I had, instead of focusing on the things I didn't. So I thought to celebrate this blessing I decided to go for afternoon tea like the grown A DOUBLE SNAKE woman I am at Fortnum and Masons Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. Now, this isn't the first time I have experienced afternoon tea in London. I have visited the infamous pink room at Sketch and the fifth floor at Harvey Nichols afternoon tea which both offer their own unique and fabulous experience. With Fortnum and Mason, I was not disappointed. I had the classic afternoon tea with my tea of choice being a Chai Black tea. It was delicious!!!! With the pianist playing a varied selection of music from Adele to Harry potter the atmosphere was relaxing, intimate and indulgent. We were given refills for our sandwiches, scone and gourmet desserts with a choice of delicious cakes from the cake cart.

The service was brilliant, really pleasant ,not overbearing and altogether welcoming. This tea room is definitely award-winning for a reason. It was exactly what I needed to celebrate my birthday this year.

If you are in London, for any occasion, check out (preferably booking in advance) Fortnum and Masons Afternoon Tea, trust me you won't be disappointed!!
