Covent Garden

Back in November (can't believe we are in December, the last month of the year), I decided to get a head start and visit Covent Garden and check out the boutique style shops that reside there. I am not going to lie, I thought I was too early for the Christmas but the market area was decorated beautifully for the season.

Now my main mission was to look for possible food gifts that were on offer, which resulted in me visiting quite a few chocolate retailers within the

Places I visited

Sidenote: This is the first time I have gone into the store and taken pictures. In all the shops I went to they were very kind and really welcoming when allowing me to take pictures. Thank you to those I met throughout my visit to Covent Gardens especially, the lovely ladies in Godiva who gave me a wonderful and delicious chocolate ice drinks and Katerina in Venchi who did a demo and took my picture while trying some ice cream and the welcoming staff in Whittard's and Hotel Chocolat.

1. Hotel Chocolat

Now I have never really looked through Hotel Chocolat, I have seen products my mum has received from friends but never really went in their myself. The shop was decked out with all their Christmas merchandise. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were a variety of products that would be great for either as a main gift, for stocking fillers and just to show off as a dessert centre piece.

(At the moment, Hotel Chocolat are doing 10% off all their products). I picked out the Christmas Chocolate Mini Selection with a variety of chocolate treats, one in particular being the Billionaire's shortbread

2. Godiva

Like Hotel Chocolat, Godiva offers a huge range of chocolate centred products, whether great or small, that can be gifted not just for the Christmas season but also, throughout the year.

During my visit I was given a free Iced Chocolate shake made by the lovely staff at Godiva which was perfect as I had missed breakfast that day

3. Venchi

Venchi is a totally new brand to me, which does a wide variety of products with the key ingredient....you guessed it...CHOCOLATE. Products include chocolate spread made using olive oil, chocolate caviar and a variety of chocolate gift boxes.

I had a chance to try some ice cream (sorry I look so mash up it was a very early start plus my hat looks so silly on my head)

Venchi also has a vast "pick 'n' mix" section, where you can choose from a vast selection of different chocolate flavours for every preference.

I picked a few of them which are shown in pictures above and below, with each one was delicious in their own right.

4. Whittard of Chelsea

Whittard's is another well-known retailer that are great for providing gifts for people who love sweet treats especially, teas, hot chocolates and coffee as well.

Whilst visiting Whittard's, I was able to browse around the shop for gift ideas and even try a range of different teas they had to offer.

They were even limited edition Alice and Wonderland items which would be great for someone who is a fan of the story or a fan of collecting crockery.

If you are still trying to figure out what to get for your loved ones this Christmas, try visiting Covent Garden you want be disappointed.
