Charlie's Cafe and Bakery

On my days off, I can often struggle to find something to eat that truly satisfies my hunger. So, I either wait 'til lunch to go ham or have a standard smoothie bowl if I can't be bothered (although my smoothie bowls are really delish). One particular day, during the past week, my best friend and I decided to go and find somewhere to eat. We couldn't be bothered to travel far (this is a norm for us) to something overtop so we decided to try somewhere in the ends. During a ride in the lift, we saw a poster for Charlie's bakery in Wood Green. The picture alone sold it for us. Charlie's bakery is situated in a kind of nook near Primark. Once, we went inside all the buzz from the high road melted away and my hungry ass zoned right to the baked goods, fresh sandwiches and then the menu (because I was hunnngry init).

I wasted no time and as 2018 is all about trying new things and being more "boujee"(lol), so I decided to have the eggs royale and a mocha while, my BF had pancakes.

It was sooo good. The eggs royale had smoked salmon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce on some toasted sourdough with side salad. MMMMMMMMM chile..it was good (very boujee lol). The mocha was really nice as well as strong (I really like the taste of coffee especially with chocolate). The owner was really cool and allowed me to take pictures of the bakery and the wall art.

The service was great with the staff being very welcoming. I will definitely be going to Charlie's bakery again and recommend it. Whether you want some brunch, are on your lunch break or just want a rest stop from shopping along the high street, check it out.
