New York Food Haul

Whilst in New York, I purchased the following goods from Duane Reed and Target. The only way I can describe Duane Reed is that it reminds me of Superdrug for some reason and those supermarket corner shops if that makes any sense. Target ,on the other hand, is like TK Maxx and Wilkos wrapped up together. I probably could of bought some of these at local convenient stores for a bit cheaper but these two stores were more easy to get to from where we were staying, which was just off Times Square.

Quick note: Non-food purchase - "I love New York" Mug

I have a love-hate relationship with this mug in the main picture because I feel I paid too much for it and the owners of the shop were really rude. They were lucky we didn't go Ape ,Jamaican Stylee, on them but yeah how rude.

Worther's Originals popcorn

Yeah, Worther's Original Popcorn. I was like are you serious? This is some next level issh. I love popcorn and have been loving the Propercorn Peanut butter and almond flavour popcorn. Knowing I was going to be in New York, I had to look out for some American-style popcorn. As we entered Duane Reed, we were welcomed by an array of sweets and snacks we had never seen before which included the popcorn. I couldn't leave New York without trying them and trust me they were worth it. Should of bought more!!!!!!!

Lemon Oreos Thins

Now for Christmas my brother bought some double-filled white Oreos and mint chocolate Oreos for me because, he knows me too well. I still have one packet because there is a lot in one pack. I love food but I am not going to make myself sick. Nevertheless, I wanted to see if there were any flavours that we can't get in London. Whilst in Target I found what I needed. Lemon flavoured thin oreos. I haven't tried them yet but I am looking for to them I may even use them when I am baking.

Hershey's Pretzel bar

I think this must be a new Hershey's chocolate bar because, I remember seeing an advert about it (sidenote: American adverts are......different). As I was paying for my loot in Duane reed, I noticed it and thought let me try it: picking up two in the process. I have already had one bar and I wish I bought two or even three more. You know me, I love a sweet and salty combo. This bar is sweet and salty personified LOOOL (I love food too much). The salty pretzel and peanuts in the sweetness of the caramel are perfect together. Now I am thinking about it, I am actually vex. I didn't buy more KMT.

Red velvet kit kat

Because I knew we would be in New York in the lead up to Valentine's day, I was expecting to see much more Valentine's limited addition food products. All I got was heart shaped candy and cinnamon flavoured Oreos (which I was not here for to be honest, how would that even taste like for real, for real). Anyways, as I was browsing through Target I stumbled across the red velvet kit kat which I immediately picked up, no questions asked. I love KitKat and I love red velvet cake what more could I ask for.

French Vanilla Coffee Mate

I only knew about this because my BF is obsessed with it and asked me to get some. I bought her three because why not and thought I would try some for myself. It's sooo delicious in my coffee. I do have a stash of the powdered form at work (check the pound shop and 99p store for this) but this is soo much better. They did have the French vanilla in powdered form but I was told the liquid was better.... and it is. I would definitely say this is a must buy when going to the US (if your obsessed with food like me).

Fruit loops

I wasn't looking for cereals from New York, because the box itself would take up to much room but I saw these fruit loops in a resealable package and thought, "You know what let me just pick this up and try these out". They did get a roughing up in transit back to London but it didn't burst open all over my clothes so, that's a plus.

Peanut butter and Almond M&M's

Love peanut M&M's which you can get in London and I always purchase them when I go to the cinema (which is a rare occasion nowadays). But, when I saw the peanut butter and almond ones I had to grab them. Now the peanut butter M&M's are party size and the almond M&M's are to share. I will not be sharing them. I REPEAT ......I WILL NOT BE SHARING THEM. Even if the packaging intends for me to do so, "I ain't doing it" LOOOOL. Maybe half of each one will be donated to someone who asks for it I will see how I feel at the time

So, that was my New York Haul. I will definitely be going back to New York. Please leave comments on your experience in New York, where you went and what weird and/or different food products you found and ate on your trip.
