The food tour

Of all the days to go on a walking food tour around Greenwich Village we pick the day it practically rains the majority of the time. My cousin and I decided to trudge on regardless (with our mums ditching us with no hesitation). Nevertheless, it's food (no regrets). Our tour guide was really nice and informative; learning a lot while stuffing my face. The portions were small as we were only sampling. However during the tour, there were opportunities to stop at particular places and dine.

Food tour pit stops

First pit stop: Artichoke pizza

Speciality: Artichoke pizza no soggy pizza base, creamy cheese sauce and the artichoke

Verdict: Extremely delicious, if it wasn't for the fact that we were going different places to yam food, I would of risked two slices (you already know I'm greedy)

Second pit stop: Mamoun's Falafel Restaurant

Speciality: Falafel's.... obvyyyy!!!

Fun fact: The first ever to sell falafel's in New York

Verdict: The crispest yet moistest falafel I have had. Must try with the both their sauces (tahini and spicy). I had two (much more needed however....)

Third pit stop: Faicco's

Fun fact: Family run business, been around for an extremely long time

Speciality: The aranchini balls

Verdict: Delicious crisp outside, evenly cheese coated Arborio rice served hot. Extremely cheesy, delicious and rich.

Look at the crispness and the anticipation of stuffing my face!!!!

Fourth pit stop: Bleecker Street

Verdict: The tomato sauce, the cheese, the herbs, the crispy base...... Brilliant

Fifth pit stop: Bantam Bagel Balls

Fun fact: Owners were on a "Dragons' den" type show and I think they one (I should of listened but the rain was starting

Speciality: Bagels balls

Verdict: It was aiiiiiiiiight............ at this point of the tour I was on the cusp of being "carbed" out and soooo over the weather

Last pit stop: Molly's Cupcakes

Speciality: Cupcakes

Fun facts: Named after owner's school teacher who used to make her students cupcakes for their birthdays.

Verdict: Really interesting and creative flavours. Deliciously moist cupcakes, not overly sweet very balanced flavour.

Options I considered.........

My final picks.....

Thank you for reading and baring with me. This has taken ages to upload (I have been sorting my life out) but thank you again.
